Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM) PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice


Brooke Rowling, PharmD

Dr. Brooke Rowling is from Tifton, Georgia. She completed her pre-pharmacy coursework and Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Georgia. After completing her PGY-1, Brooke plans to complete a PGY-2 in Oncology and pursue a career as a board certified oncology clinical specialist. Outside of pharmacy, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family and friends, looking for shark teeth at the beach, and cheering on the high school sports her husband coaches.



Laura Sun, PharmD

Dr. Laura Sun is originally from China. She received her bachelor's degree from Emory University and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of California, San Francisco. Her professional interest is in oncology and plans to pursue a PGY2 in her area of interest. Her long-term goals include becoming an oncology clinical specialist at an academic medical center with opportunities for research and precepting. In her free time, Laura enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, playing with her cat, and trying new restaurants.

Vishal Shah, PharmD

Dr. Vishal Shah is originally from Johns Creek, GA and attended the University of Georgia to complete his undergraduate coursework. Following his time at UGA, he went on to the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy where he initially developed his interest in specialty pharmacy. His current professional interests include specialty pharmacy administration, rheumatology, and neurology. Following his PGY1, Vishal hopes to pursue a career in health-system specialty pharmacy. Outside of work, he loves to cheer on his favorite Atlanta sports teams, play basketball and golf, and also try new restaurants! He is looking forward to his time at Emory and being back in Atlanta! 


EUH/EUHM PGY-2 Infectious Disease


Summer Sizemore, PharmD

EUHM Chief Resident

Dr. Summer Sizemore is from Lilburn, Georgia. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia and completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, TN. Summer’s professional interests include infectious diseases of immunocompromised patients and the treatment of multi-drug resistant organisms. After completion of her PGY-2, Summer hopes obtain board certification in infectious diseases and practice at an academic medical center where she can precept learners. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys playing tennis, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time at the lake.


EUHM PGY-2 Oncology



Aqsa Adnan, PharmD

Dr. Aqsa Adnan was born in California but has called Georgia home for the last 20 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University, PharmD from Mercer University College of Pharmacy, and completed a PGY1 specialty pharmacy practice residency at Emory University Hospital Midtown. Upon completion of her PGY-2 in Oncology, Aqsa’s long term goal is to practice as an outpatient oncology specialist at an academic medical center alongside being able to teach and precept students. Apart from work, she enjoys playing tennis, travelling, trying new restaurants, and drinking bubble tea.



Natalie Brumwell, PharmD

Dr. Natalie Brumwell is from Lakeland, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida. Natalie completed her PGY-1 residency at Emory University Hospital. After her PGY-2 residency, Natalie's goal is to practice as an oncology clinical pharmacy specialist at an academic medical center, precept learners, participate in research, and serve in various committees and leadership roles. In her free time, Natalie enjoys cooking, exploring restaurants, traveling to new places, and giving belly rubs to her cat, Sage.



David Doan, PharmD

Dr. David Doan is from Chesapeake, Virginia. He attended Virginia Tech for his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. His current professional interests include hematology/oncology, pharmacy administration, and research. After completing his PGY2, he intends to practice as an oncology pharmacy clinical specialist at an academic medical center where he can conduct research and precept students and residents. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and exploring with his wife, trying new restaurants and breweries, listening to live music, and cheering on the Hokies in the Fall!



Meera Patel, PharmD

Dr. Meera Patel is from Douglasville, Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emory University. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Mercer University College of Pharmacy, and she completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital. After completion of her PGY-2, Meera hopes to practice as an oncology clinical specialist at a large academic medical center while precepting students and residents and engaging in oncology related research. Outside the hospital, Meera enjoys trying new restaurants, attending yoga classes, traveling with family and friends, and watching soccer games.
